The Walls: they define the spaces.… and more……

The walls in a building define the spaces we work, live and relax in.  Walls separate the inside from the outside and one room from another.  Walls determine how the spaces and layouts are used by the occupants. External walls along with the fenestration (ie: windows and doors) can be used to articulate the current fashion and trends, or are built to emulate some past historical period.  Walls are vertical structures that need to be thermally efficient and are thereby controlled by the requirements of the ever changing Building Regulations.            Not all walls are built in brick....
